In San Diego, we have a candidate who is Chinese second generation–Denise Getsham。 She will campaign for members of Congress for our district (district 52:Carmel Mountain, Carmel Valley, Clairemont, Coronado, Downtown, Kearny Mesa, La Jolla, Lake Murray, Mira Mesa, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Peñasquitos, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, Scripps Ranch, Sorrento Valley, Tierrasanta, University City,UTC) in 2016.
Her mother is a Taiwanese. Denise Getsham has participated in Bush’s electoral activities, and had some political experiences; She is against SCA5 and anti-men and women sharing the same restroom.
This is the first time that San Diego has a Chinese American campaign for parliamentarians. If she can be elected, she can help raise the status of Chinese descents in American political life and make Chinese Americans’ voice to be heard.
Her mother will come together to participate our evening event. You are welcome to use both Chinese and English at the event.
The candidate is opposed to the SCA-5. For this matter, the Mars Conference Center is willing to offer free space and hope that you will be engaged in the discussion of how to defend Chinese Americans’ rights.
